Cash donations keep our freezers running and our trucks on the road. They also support our innovative programs to address the root causes of hunger through advocacy and education. Monetary donations also allow Seagate Food Bank to purchase bulk food to be repacked by volunteers. Because we make large, bulk purchases, our cost per pound of food is far lower than that of food bought at retail prices by individuals. 100% of cash donations are returned to the community.
We recognize that moving beyond a food challenged lifestyle sometimes require additional support, whether that is dishes, nutritional classes even furnishing a new apartment can make all the difference. We accept a broad range of items and cheerfully provide them at no cost through our network or care agencies.
The Seagate Food Bank is always in need of helping hands to achieve our goals. We have plenty of opportunities for families, corporations and students to help their communities and neighbors.
